I never thought i’d like romance but loved Richard Linklaters before sunrise. Is there a book recommendation anyone would have based on writing so honest it’s refreshing like in his movies?

I think the magic of the story comes from the honesty, adventure and how much i bonded with the characters. I think I’m looking for something that makes me want to see the best in people and myself. That will push me out the door.
