I just finished The Betrayals and I absolutely adored it. The plot and writing style alike were multifaceted, riveting, and stunning. There was so much depth and allegory.
the whole time I was reading I was near the impression that there were sequels. I think I thought this because I saw other works by her with matching cover styles, so I assumed it was a series. Needless to say, I was heart broken when I looked for the second book and realized it’s not a series?!
Has anyone read any other work by Collins and do you recommend one? Or is there another book/series by another author that reminded you of this book that you recommend?
I loved the academic backdrop and the underlying commentary on society and politics as well as sexuality. I typically hate romance plots but there was so much depth to this book that I didn’t care. thank you
