Hi, what are your recommendations for novice reader, 23 year old interested in a lot of things. I have read couple of books of different genres for examples:
Old man and the sea, Hobbit, Illiyad, Odyssey, Process, Stranger…
I’m interested in philosophy as a concept but didn’t like Meditations, Thus spoke Zarathustra and The book of five rings. Found them boring and not engaging enough.
I read Berserk manga and really enjoyed it. Also my favourite tv shows are GoT, Breaking bad, Sopranos, The boys, The office, Supernatural… If that’s helpful.

Some of Albert Camus’s books might match with your philosophical preference.

Since you seem to like adventure, and aren’t put off by Very Old books – people always recommend *The Count of Monte Cristo* here. “The story of betrayal, love, and redemption. The story follows Edmund Dantes through imprisonment, freedom, and revenge spanning nearly his entire life.”
*Circe* by Madeline Miller is modern (2018) but is a retelling of Ancient Greek mythology. “With unforgettably vivid characters, mesmerizing language and page-turning suspense, Circe is a triumph of storytelling, an intoxicating epic of family rivalry, palace intrigue, love and loss, as well as a celebration of indomitable female strength in a man’s world.”
If you like multigenerational sagas, history, and aren’t ‘afraid’ of loooooong books (about 1000 pages), I just started re-reading *London* by Edward Rutherfurd. “A glorious pageant spanning two thousand years. He brings this vibrant city’s long and noble history alive through the ever-shifting fortunes, fates, and intrigues of half-a-dozen families, from the age of Julius Caesar to the twentieth century. Generation after generation, these families embody the passion, struggle, wealth, and verve of the greatest city in the Old World.”
