I’m looking for more environmental/eco-fiction novels. I’d particularly love suggestions where at least one character is a scientist/scientist-adjacent and they are trying to solve an environmental problem, but butt heads with the locals/corporations.

Anything with similar vibes to these novels would be great:

    * Once There Were Wolves by Charlotte McConaghy
    * Damnation Spring by Ash Davidson
    * Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver
    * The Overstory by Richard Powers

    Thanks!

This one is very long but totally worth it in my opinion – **Barkskins** by **Annie Proulx**

T**he Hungry Tide** by **Amitav Ghosh** is very well-researched like all his works. The story is from the place where I belong to, close to my heart.

Have you checked the author **Maja Lunde**? I haven’t read yet but shelved as eco-fiction author.

There are quite a few eco fiction from India but mostly translated works, I have to think and make a list if you want.
