ive been getting back into reading lately but im struggling to find books as easily as i once did. ive just recently finished good omens (the book and, unfortunately, the show) as well as how to train your dragon and both have left me suitably miserable. Im rather fond of anything that gets straight to the point, with the characters and setting, can’t stand anything that has pages and pages of just “this is where we are.” thanks so much!
sidenote: id prefer they don’t all die in the end

Have you tried Mother of Learning? Gets to the interesting point (time travel) pretty quickly. Or Chrysalis. It’s a reincarnation litRPG novel, and those things always go to the fun straight away. Chrysalis is truly great early on. It starts to drag later on and I dropped it, but that was after hundreds of satisfying reading. Both novels are on Royal Road, though Mother of Learning took their writing off the site to publish through Amazon.
