I’m trying to get my brother into reading in order to improve his vocabulary. I feel like it’s still at an elementary level. He loves Greek mythology and stuff so any recommendations with that will also be helpful. Overall, I’m looking for any genre as long as it meets my two criteria’s.

Well, these are more middle-grade/young adult, but on mythology has he read the Percy Jackson series, or maybe Sea of Trolls by Nancy Farmer, or even the Bartimaeus Sequence by Jonathan Stroud? My personal favorite fantasy series is The Realm of the Elderlings by Robin Hobb, it’s a long series that sucks you in, and Hobb’s writing style is great (she’s one of the best authors in terms of descriptive language in my opinion, descriptive but not too hard to read).
