I’m trying to find a new read and I think I want some small story like the Jumper series. I really like stories like that, a small in scope sci fi/fantasy books with an extraordinary element in an ordinary modern world.
Some more books I think scratch the same itch were The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August and The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue (which ending I didn’t like at all).
Thanks!

These books are up my street – I absolutely loved the first fifteen lives of harry August.
I found How to Stop Time by Matt Haig to be in a similar vein and did enjoy it.
One on my list which also seems to be of a similar ilk is Dark Matter by Blake Crouch, which I’m excited to read.
American Gods by Niel Gaiman might be to your liking.
Not sure if it fits here- A Nightmare’s Point of View
Callahan’s Crosstime Saloon by Spider Robinson
This is a short story collection that takes place in a bar where anything can and does happen.
