I struggle to find books that are both well written and keep my interest. The books I’ve enjoyed reading most in the past year were Bunny by Mona Awad and Killing Commendatore by Haruki Murakami. I love romance, fantasy, but I struggle to find books like that with writing I enjoy. I love a uniquely voiced author.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid is entertaining and well-constructed.

Gabrielle Zevin has a number of books that fit this description, Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow being the most popular (and rightfully so – I loved it from start to finish).

Sally Rooney comes to mind when I think of an author with a unique voice. Her style is polarizing but worth trying out, especially since her books are fairly short and easy to digest. I recommend Normal People.
