So when I was a child, I was an avaricious reader and one of the few things that I managed to pick up were unconventional series that were semi-popular back in the early to mid 2010s when I was in elementary school.
I distinctly remember reading a book about three people who discovered a mansion – there were two boys and the sister of the boy. The mansion was designed by an eccentric person and they left a ton of secret passageways and knowledge about museum arts, the modern art style taking off at the time (I am not sure about the style specifically, it may be just standard Impressionism, bauhaus, or something else like Kandinsky). Those are the few details that I could remember off the top of my head, but I can’t remember anything else about it, but I do know for the fact that the plot ends in a cliff hanger and there’s two other book series that picks up on it.
Also as an unrelated side note if anybody has any recommendations for more of that noir mystery genre centered around Chicago such as the Dresden Files do let me know 🙂
