Watched the movie “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” recently and would like to read similar science fiction. Looking for science fiction books with interactions with many different alien civilizations and things like intergalactic laws/treaties/organizations and space travel. I’m not sure what it is I’m looking for beyond this. I’m hoping to read blurbs of your recommendations on goodreads and going from there. Thanks!
