Adventure travel books

Hello everyone 🙂
I’m looking for adventure travel books as birthday gifts for my mother! She enjoyed a book about the exploration of the Easter islands a lot as well as people telling their story about crossing south America by motorcycle. It doesn’t matter what time period and if it’s fiction or non-fiction!
