I started building my first, (as for now) dwarf physical library! I always had read books in their digital format, for convenience. However, I ordered some books that I tried to read in their digitalized version, but it was a nightmare.
The books that interest me are:
– General history books about objects, design evolution, inventions, technology, architecture, journalism and philosophy
– Books about concealing the truth, propaganda, how it was and still is being used
– Books with many infographics, images, and so on that otherwise you couldn’t read in digital format
– Books with immediate practical use, something that you have read and can immediately implement in your daily life
The types of books I don’t like are:
– Romance, narrative, fiction, novel, mystery… books that people usually read “just for reading.”
What books I have bought in physical so far:
| Name | Publisher |
|———-|———-|
| Be More Japan | DK Eyewitness |
| Nineteen eighty-four | Penguin Books |
| Architecture: The Definitive Visual History | DK |
Books I would like to have:
* History of Press Graphics. 1819–1921 – TASCHEN
* Great Designs – DK (waiting for a new edition)
* The Science Museum A Brief History of Stuff – DK (releases this summer)
