I know, that’s a large field but here are some topics/tropes/vibes I’d like or dislike to read about
Looking for:
– Gossip Girl vibe
– Romeo and Juliet type forbidden romance
– unusual college romance (not the usual wallflower meets hot jock/brooding lone Wolf)
– musician/famous person romance (but not the usual hot rockstar that does 3 women a night suddely meets the one and changes his ways overnight)
– family emotionally hurts the main character and he/she needs to break free
– a little bit of jealousy/misunderstanding induced drama
– lovestories that feel “epic” or like they’re Just meant to be
What I dislike:
– city girl finds herself and love in a tiny village trope
– a lot of spice (a couple hot scenes are ok, but I don’t need 20 page long sex scenes)
– big age gaps
– millionaire / teacher-student romance
– love triangle (if it doesn’t drag on and it’s just in the beginning that’s ok)
Also I’m german, so if there’s any germans here, books that are only available in german are welcome too, I read german and english
I’ve looked through a lot of recommendations in goodreads, but especially if you have less well known books please share!
