Bit of a weird one: Horror book suggestion

Heyo!
I wanna start off by saying I hardly ever read nowadays, the longest book I’ve managed to read the entire of was the book version of “Alan Wake” which is a video game series I adore (the book is just the first game as it has lore reasons I won’t get into)

As I hardly ever read it’s a little tough for me to find books I’m interested in as they are typically too complex.

Does anyone have any horror book suggestions that may be for an equal or slightly above reading complexity as Alan wake? I know next to nothing about horror books other than the very well known stuff such as IT
