…motherhood rage, unhinged mom life; something primal and raw. You get the gist. Fiction or non-fiction.
What I’ve loved: The Days of Abandonment by Elena Ferrante (raw descent into madness then climbing back out) & Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés (I know this isn’t exclusively around motherhood but the commentary about womanhood encompasses it well).
What I’ve liked: Nightbitch by Rachel Yoder (I liked the spiraling but wanted something juicier).
What I haven’t liked: Don’t Forget to Scream by Marianne Levy (felt very surface level).

Monstrilio by Gerardo Samano Cordova might be up your alley!
Similar themes though not exactly, The God of Endings by Jaqueline Holland might also scratch some of that same itch, if indirectly.
The Push by Ashley Audrain is my absolute favorite in this genre.
Motherthing by Ainslie Hogarth might interest you. It’s not exactly what you’re asking for, but in the same ballpark.
