I’ve been looking for fiction that revolves around a mystery that is gradually being solved, with puzzle pieces here and there leading to a complete picture. Something that keeps you on the edge of your seat and has you coming back for more. Most of the stuff I find is just murder mysteries where they try to find the murderer. I don’t mind if it contains murder, but I don’t want that to be the main focus.
In general I like fantasy, a bit of comedic elements, etc. But it’s not a necessity.
**Similar books and other media in that style I’ve enjoyed:**
– The Da Vinci Code (and other Dan Brown books)
– The Firm (John Grisham)
– Attack on Titan
– Tower 4 (Audio drama)
– Lockwood & Co:
– The Fugitive
– National Treasure
– Indiana Jones
– Gravity Falls *(a bit random in this list, but does mystery very well)*
– One Piece

The blind assassin. It takes a minute to get going but oh god it’s worth it
Jean Hanff Korelitz’ **The Plot** is mystery/suspense. Its plot line is a writer steals the plot of a story from another author. The resultant book becomes a big seller, and then the author is targeted by an unknown who knows of the theft.
I found the beginning of the book moved along slowly, with its pace picking up once Ms. Korelitz dispensed with the “this is what an author goes through to come up with a story and get it published” background.
