Hi everyone! I’m looking for book suggestions for my boyfriend’s 15 year old nephew who wants to improve his English. His native languages are Hindi and Punjabi, and right now his English comprehension is very basic/beginner. I suggested the Harry Potter books but my boyfriend thinks they’re too advanced for him right now. The only other books I can think of are children’s books I enjoyed when I started learning to read like Robert Munsch, Clifford, Franklin, Berenstain Bears etc. My apprehension is they’re literal children’s books and I’m worried they’re going to be TOO basic. That being said, if Harry Potter is too advanced, does that rule out most middle school books? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
