I see so many posts for books that you can’t put down. But I’ve looked at summaries for a lot of them and idk guys I just don’t think I’m up for some of this mentally…
So the ask is, riveting books, that are also easy reads. Page turners, that won’t wear me out.
If it helps give more of an idea of what I’m looking for, I’ve loved every thriller I’ve read from Reese Witherspoon’s book club. 🤷‍♀️😁

ETA: does not need to be happy. Just easy to read (e.g. simple vocabulary).

My Name Was Eden. It was easy if that’s what you mean by “lite”. If you mean a happy read then no. It was a great book

The only ones I know from her book club are darker than this, for sure, but this was a
quick read, little bit of a mystery, mother/daughter relationship dynamics, and a lite dose of magic: The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen

    3. If you’re into romance, Emily Henry is fairly popular on Goodreads and I find her books are a great palate cleanser after a heavy read.
