Can you suggest me a book that has a (somewhat) realistic take on “superpowers?” I’m thinking of books like *Jumper* by Stephen Gould or *Sudden Appearance of Hope* by Claire North. Or, to go real old school, Philip Wylie’s *Gladiator*–basically, looking for stories of people who gain what would be comic book style powers (teleportation, invisibility, super-strength, etc.), and then explores what the characters life would be like in a fairly plausible fashion.

Memoirs of an invisible man has a very realistic take on just how difficult it is for an invisible man to remain undetected.
