I heard of a rather uncommon trope a few days ago about the comic relief character being in a secret relationship with the villain while knowing that they’re dating the villain?
Not necessarily an enemies to lovers trope or one where the villain is just mildly annoyed with the comic relief but does anyone know a book that centers on a relatively healthy (not dark) romance with a plot like this? I’ve been looking everywhere and if this trope has ever been done before then I’m not succeeding at finding one.
