I’m reading one right now that’s got me really thinking of the choices I make in my everyday life. How I live my life, and what’s important to me.

It’s a fantasy… I think… I don’t know, it’s strange. It’s about a guy who relives his life after he dies, but he remembers everything from the previous lives. He is told early on in the book, that the world is in danger and he is asked to help. The story weaves throughout his lives and the choices he makes in those lives. It goes through pursuit of knowledge, revenge and retribution, love, and really there’s all these little things sprinkled throughout the book that give me many moments that make me pause and think. It’s not fully deep and philosophical, there is very much a story that’s mysterious and suspenseful. But I feel like this one is gonna stay with me for a while.

It’s called, The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August, by Claire North

    2. Maybe a bit flat, and as many others I wasn’t very content with the direction the book later took, but {{The Midnight Library}}.

In the midnight library, the protagonist is allowed to peek into different versions of her life, lifes that she could have led if the decided differently at one point or another.

At least at the start, it really resonated with me as I often think about my life choices and how different things could have turned out.

I think it shows the classical “the grass is not always greener on the other side” but it also kinda made me realize that it’s actually not worth to dwell on past decisions as it probably wouldn’t have turned out as great as I imagined it (I still do… but I actually know it’s unnecessary^^). There are many possible versions of you and all of them have something for them going.
