I’m going through some significant life changes and I want to pick up a book that could help me navigate this pivotal time in my life. For context, I’ve been in university for two years and recently decided to drop out. I dropped out because I had to come to terms with the fact that college is not for me. I’ve always struggled academically and my level of learning/intelligence has always been my biggest insecurity. I recently decided to switch my life around and purse a career in the maritime industry. I’ve always loved boats and I think I will do well. A book that could help me organize, prioritize and motivate me to hustle is what I am looking for. My goals in life are to make decent money and never settle for something subpar.

I wish I had a book to suggest….but you’re making good move IMO. Your grit will outweigh any academic shortcomings (my dad ended up with a successful career in aviation after dropping out of school, and comes from a very academically oriented family). Outliers is a good one to understand the elements of success.
And there are so many maritime books. Someone on here will suggest a good one, but I wish you well and keep your head high!
