I just finished Best Served Cold by Joe Abercrombie. Fantastic series, highly recommended, but I need a breather from the First Law universe and medieval fantasy as a whole before digging into The Heroes. The only modern/sci fi book I have is book 1 of American Gods by Neil Gaiman. I plan to read it but wanted to get some recommendations first since it’s a thicker title.
I’m not crazy about space stuff.. but I’m obsessed with stories that leave me feeling conflicted about characters actions and methods to achieve their goals, especially from an author that isnt afraid to kill characters off, and I’m willing to dive into a space-themed universe if that’s what I’ll get.
