It’s a bit embarrassing to admit, but I haven’t genuinely read a book for fun in so long. I’m an incoming freshman at NYU and, although I used to be a super avid reader, I think that grinding through work in high school pushed me away from books and more towards Youtube and TV, since they were just easier to consume in a shorter amount of time. The only things I read these days are political articles and science research papers.
I used to really enjoy fantasy books when I was younger, like the Ranger’s Apprentice and Harry Potter series. If I remember correctly, the Cherub series was also one of my favorites.
I’m just looking for fantasy or action books that are a good read for someone wanting to get back into reading. It’s not like I haven’t read advanced books, but they’ve all been for classes. I just really don’t know where to start. Authors, series, or individual books would be greatly appreciated!
