Hello everyone! I love small scale alien movies like Signs. Where the story focuses on one family, or one small area and how they deal with aliens. I’ve been through a few horror subreddits looking for some small scale alien books to check out. but haven’t really found much. World invasion stuff like war of the worlds just isn’t fun for me. Love to have something that’s confined to a smaller area. Thanks for any suggestions.

I don’t know if it fits what you are looking for, but I am reading Blindisght and, although the danger is planetwide, the whole story happens in a single group in a spaceship.
Aliens send a signal to Earth and a spaceship with a small group is sent to investigate the origin of the signal.
