I can go through a novel a day, and we’re going away for a week so I’m looking for something with 7+ books in the series. We’ll have wifi, but I want to try and disconnect from technology a little on our trip.
I know The Murderbot Diaries series is going to be suggested, and they’re definitely on my TBR, but honestly the books are just too short. I can get through a 150 (ish) page book in a few hours; and I really want a series to sink my teeth into for the long run.
Anyway, I’m looking for a low-stakes cosy series. Nothing dystopian or post-apocalyptic. Female protagonist & lesbian romance preferable but not required.
A couple of examples:
Fluffy’s Revolution by Ted Myers
Serrano Legacy (Specifically the first 3 books) by Elizabeth Moon
Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy by Douglas Adams

Maybe try Old Man’s War by John Scalzi?
A couple of stand-alones that remind me of Hitchhikers are Year Zero by Rob Reid and All Our Wrong Todays by Elan Mastai. For a cozy series with mostly female leads and queer love stories you might take a look at the Wayfarers Series by Becky Chambers.
Enjoy your vacation!
Christopher Moore. Hilarious, really reminds me of Douglas Adams the way he writes, and it’s a normal sort of world but with a prehistoric sea beast looking for love or an ancient trickster god or the incarnation of death.
He’s got a ton of books in the same universe. I’d pack A Dirty Job, Secondhand Souls, Coyote Blue, Practical Demonkeeping, The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove, Fluke:I Know Why the Winged Whale Sings, Island of the Sequined Love Nun, and The Stupidest Angel. You Suck, Bloodsucking Fiends, and Bite Me: A Love Story are also in-universe.
