I’m a new reader that loves to read. I love fantasies, crime thrillers, mystery, supernatural and romance. Just basically a book that keeps you reading and you can’t get your eyes off the book.
Suggestions would really be helpful. I’m 14 btw, so please keep the age in mind as the book shouldn’t be too se*ual as my parents will read those books too.
Also, is Pretty Girls by Karen Slauter, the ACOTAR book series and Never Lie by Frieda McFadden worth reading?
Thank You! 🙂

For Fantasy – Cassandra Clare’s shadowhunter books are really good! Her earlier ones – the Infernal Devices and The Mortal Instruments are mostly innocent but I haven’t read her later ones!
Pack of Dawn and Destiny series by K.M. Shea is a clean Paranormal/Urban Fantasy Romance.
In My Dreams I Hold A Knife by Ashley Winstead
When I was around your age I enjoyed Philip Pullman’s Dark Materials series, and Philip Reeve’s Mortal Engines series. I still occasionally go back to them, and still enjoy them.
Fairy tale by Stephen King. Such a fun read! And, then, everything else by King lol, but, maybe wait a few years.
I recommend Robert Langdon series by Dan Brown.
Pretty Girls is great but easily rated M for content, I would wait on that.
The first ACOTAR book is probably fine, but not the later ones in the series.
Defy the Night by Brigid Kemmerer is a great YA fantasy romance series I’d recommend checking out
ever read the hunger games?? if not it’s by far my absolute favorite of all time. it’s meant for teen audiences too, even if it is a book about children killing each other.
Have you read the Shadowhunters series by Cassandra Clare yet? I loved that one when I was about 14!
I love Karin Slaughter! But I don’t necessarily think that her books are appropriate for a 14 y/o. They are very graphic and can be sexually violent.
