Hi all!
Going on a family trip from Nice, France to Milan, Italy and stopping in Florence and Venice. We thought it would be fun to bring along a book that is set in one of these areas or general region that we can all read and discuss as we travel. We will have a 10 hour flight plus lots of downtime on the trip to read over 2 weeks.
We’d love a book that isn’t too dense but at the same time, isn’t complete fluff. Quality writing is priority but at the end of the day, it’s still a vacation read.
Details:
– We’re all adults
– We enjoy mysteries & police procedural/detective flair
– We also love juicy details & a bit of drama, without forsaking the actual plotline.
– It would be a huge PLUS if there were references to the region we’re in, maybe some history or lore.
– Good character development is key!
