Hi all I’ve recently got back into reading again, I used to read alot up until my early teens but I stopped for quite a while. I love books like true grit, the great gatsby and green mile, etc etc that have a strong story and aren’t really hard to follow I dont mind any genres western, adventure, romance, classics whatever! Anything that you love and why would greatly appreciated!!
Thankyou 🙂

Silmarillion. After the sprawling awesome mass that is The Lord of the Rings, you get this dense, archetypal work in which each chapter or episode is the perfect encapsulation of an idea (and you just know that from each he could probably have written a while other LotR), and it reads like poetry.
Spinning Silver, by Naomi Novik. Because you have to make “some larger version of yourself with words and promises, and then [step] inside and somehow [grow] to fill it”.
Till we have Faces, by C.S. Lewis.
