First of all, I want to say I’m not that much of a reader. Not that I don’t read, but one book a month is like a good average for me.
But, now that winter is approaching I started to invest more time into reading again. For now I have my hands full with Stephen King’s Fairy Tale. A thick book, like most of his works, but I reads so good. How I missed his style.
Which brings me to the next point. As a 42 year old guy, I want to explore other genres. I red science fiction (Dune), I red fantasy (The Witcher series)….most of it mainstream stuff.
But one thing I want to explore and that is typical for most female readers (please correct me if I’m wrong) is romantic novels or novels with more personal subjects like loss, love triangles, a little bit of sex… you know, the Twillight and the Shades of Grey kinda novels and anything in between.
Now, I DO want to explore that “We’re guys and think it’s corny” corner for myself. Tip my little toe in it as to speak.
That being said, is there any series or books you can recommend to me that might “ease” me into that genre. Like, would the Seven Sisters series be anything worthwhile? It was a hit series here in Belgium awhile ago.
In any case, thanks in advance!!
