I do have to say that I found the book really good. While I do always see SK as the horror author in relation to his stories as ‘It’ and ‘The Shining’ I do like the bit of change he has made when it came to the story of ‘Fairy Tale’, which I found more sad and a bit gross at parts in comparison to the typical horror seen in his books. If I had to give it an overall rating, I probably would say it is a good 8/10, and a book that is definitely worth the read.
I also do have to admit, as a side addition to the topic of SK, how much he comes to write, which is a shocking amount. After finishing ‘Fairy Tale’ I just picked up Under the Dome, which I had no idea that the copy I bought came to be over a thousand pages, a shocking amount for a story that has a much simpler concept, in my opinion, unlike his other stories.
