I really enjoy books that cover a narrow timeframe and break down the events in a minute-by-minute or hour-by-hour narrative. Fiction or non-fiction.
I just finished Annie Jacobsen’s Nuclear War: A Scenario and although it is a horrifying subject the book structure is great. Other books I have enjoyed with this type of structure:
– Midnight in Chernobyl: The Untold Story of the World’s Greatest Nuclear Disaster – Adam Higginbotham
– 102 Minutes: The Untold Story of the Fight to Survive Inside the Twin Towers – Jim Dwyer, Kevin Flynn
– The Hot Zone – Richard Preston
Any suggestions with a similar structure that you really enjoyed?
