i’m from europe and have always read a lot in my native language but lately i’ve started reading more in english and YA confuses me so much. Some titles in YA are very childish both in language and story (like the cruel prince) and others more grown up. I don’t really understand how?
Here, the boundaries between children’s and adult books are much clearer. An adult would not be able to read a teenage book because the language themes and so on would be too immature. (mature teenagers can of course read adult books).
Do adults in england and usa read more children’s books? can someone explain? Sorry for the stupid question.
