I have an entire day to kill

Construction being done on my house I have to be out of the house all day. I love mysteries, murder, drug trafficking crime, but also cheesy shit. I don’t like the fantasy sex books I don’t like sci fi. About to go to a bookstore please help! My fav books: great gatsby, Elena ferrante novels, Raymond chandler, cheesy stuff liane moriarity…some Gillian Flynn stuff…. Thanks in advance if anyone answers!
