I just read Passage by Connie Willis, which was a little too cutesy for me, but it had a few moments of creepy suspense that I really enjoyed. I’m going through a tough time myself, and feeling spooked by book really took my mind off things. I can’t really handle a lot of violence or gore, but any kind of scary suspense would really hit the spot right now. All genres are welcome!

    1. Mexican Gothic might be up your alley. It’s creepy and weird but as I can recall not gory and positive.
