I just finished The Indifferent Stars Above and wow. I couldn’t put it down because of course the unbelievable story, but I was also in awe of the resilience of these people. It really put things in perspective and made me see that many of my “problems” are small potatoes. I’m looking for another book with similar themes of resilience and pushing on in the face of adversity. It doesn’t have to be such a tragic story (something less horrific would be great lol) it could be any true story of people overcoming a challenge, insurmountable odds, etc. thank you very much!

And There Was Light by Jaques Lusseyran
Educated
Man’s Search For Meaning by Viktor Frankl is the first book that comes to mind.
Educated by Tara Westover was a great answer.
I would also recommend:
– Girl with the Louding Voice by Abi Daré. Many trigger warning for this book, but very strong.
– The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah. Also check out trigger warning here. I’ve read quite a few Kristin Hannah and she’s not my favorite overall but I really did like The Great Alone. About a girl and her parents who move to rural Alaska.
– The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune. This one is less like coming over adversity, but more about how love, family, and acceptance are so importance in the face of injustice.
Well, I was all ready to respond with **The Indifferent Stars Above** based on the title, but you’ve already read it, so I’ll just second **Educated**
