There are a lot of threads asking about favourite books of the last X years but they always seem to add the caveat that it doesn’t actually have to have been written in the specified time period.

So here’s the thread I wanted to see! What is your favourite book written since the beginning of 2020? Give me some ultramodern literature! All genres welcome, tell us what you think the classics of tomorrow will be, or just your personal best read released in the last few years.

P.S. Apologies for uncapitalised title, the thread submission box on old.reddit tricked me into thinking it auto-capitalised and now I look like an uncultured buffoon.

I loved Fourth Wing. I couldn’t put it down. But…there’s way too many to choose from. Nora Roberts has been on her GAME these last few years. I couldn’t just choose a single one.

    2. Here are my favorites from the past few years (in no particular order):

      * **Demon Copperhead** by Barbara Kingsolver
      * **The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell** by Robert Dugoni
      * **All The Light We Cannot See** by Anthony Doerr
      * **A Thousand Splendid Suns** by Khaled Hosseini
      * **The Pillars of the Earth** by Ken Follett (his entire Kingsbridge series is excellent)
      * **The Lincoln Highway** by Amor Towles
      * **A Gentleman in Moscow** by Amor Towles
      * **The Goldfinch** by Donna Tartt
      * **This Tender Land** by William Kent Krueger
      * **The River We Remembe**r by William Kent Krueger
      * **The Martian** by Andy Weir
      * **Project Hail Mary** by Andy Weir
      * **Journey Under the Midnight Sun** by Keigo Higashino
      * **The Miracles of the Namiya General Store** by Keigo Higashino
