Hi everyone, I recently read The Women by Kristin Hannah and LOVED IT. I’ve got a couple of other Vietnam War/war in general books on my to read list (The Things They Carried, Johnny Got His Gun, Matterhorn, The Kite Runner, The World Played Chess), but I really want to read more books about war/coming home from war and the adjustment struggles and mental health impacts of it.
Don’t shy away from violence, gore, tragedy, anything. I’m looking for books that’ll stick with me for weeks. I don’t care if its nonfiction or fiction, but I am enjoying historical fiction a lot right now, so maybe leaning more towards fiction. Either works though!
Thanks!!
