My 12 y/o wants to read the same book and discuss it once a week. How awesome is that?
Here are some of the series that they have enjoyed:

– The Red Queen
– The Underworld Saga
– Twilight
– Divergent
They really fancy the romances in the books like Katniss & Gale/Peeta, Hermione & Ron, Aragorn & Eowyn… you get the picture.
