I thought the book was slow. Dont get me wrong the horror was great, and the book was fantastic in my opinion. 100% recommend it. Though after the brief Paxcow incident it felt like 200 pages of build up to get to a point where I felt my heart beat in my chest and had goosebumps on my arms.
I want a book that will make me feel that way through almost the entirety, I don’t know if I’m asking for to much here , this was my first horror novel. Also I don’t like endings that end off on a good note in horror, you know, “and they lived happily ever after” kinda ending.
