I see a lot of ppl asking for recs for books that have non-humanoid aliens, so I’m assuming that the opposite is a commonly explored concept.
However, I haven’t come across anything of the sort that had high acclaim. I remember reading the Lorien Legacies and The Terran Cycle back in middle school and remember enjoying it, although that was quite a few years ago. Does anyone have good novels/series that have a similar premise of humanoid aliens. Tbh they don’t even to be that close to human at this point lol I’m desperate.
Thanks!

*The Haar* has a creature where it’s unclear if it’s alien or not, but takes humanoid form at times.
The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K Le Guin follows a man from earth as he is trying to convince a planet to join what is basically the intergalactic UN. The aliens are humanoid, with the main difference being that they’re lacking sex organs most of the time, having the chance to “become” either sex (in short they’re ambisexual).
