i’m an avid reader but i haven’t been motivated to touch a book since experiencing the loss of my beloved dog. i was thinking maybe a cathartic book dealing with grief could help me with my mourning process and maybe reignite my reading spark. i am happy with fiction or nonfiction or even poetry.

Kitchen by Banana Yoshimoto!!! I read it once while taking care of my sick dog and 2 years later after we had to put him down, felt like a warm blanket both times. And it was the only book I was able to read and enjoy while grieving his loss
