Any books that have some secret society or big things working in the background?

So, I’m thinking about when I had first played fallout and learning about vault tech, and that feeling of getting small bits of information about this largely secretive group gave me such a thrill (the TV show really re-iginted it). So, anything like vault-tech, Lost, We Happy Few, or 1984
