I just finished inherent vice which I loved. Obviously the humor but I’m really into the mystery of it all too. I love competing narratives and odd conspiracy laden mysteries. Are there any you’d suggest? I am looking for noir/neo noir/hard boiled detective mystery novels in the vain of inherent nice, LA confidential, the black Dahlia and for media Under the Silver Lake and True Detective season 1. I love when bigger forces are at work and a conspiracy of the elite is involved. I heard White Jazz by Elroy is good but should I read the big Nowhere first? Any suggestions are welcome!
