The Brothers Karamazov – slow burn?

I’m about 100 pages in and am finding it difficult to retain interest.

I regularly see it listed as a favourite in many threads. Is it a slow burn? Should I stick with it?

I should say that I generally love a good classic and don’t typically shy away from more challenging reads. Big Austen fan and I’ve read and enjoyed Dostoevsky’s Crime & Punishment.
