When I was a kid I used to read a lot of things like Harry Potter, Jules Verne, The Witch Trade, Hitchhiker’s Guide, etc.
However, at one point I stopped and haven’t touched a book in like 9 years. I recently tried getting back into reading with The Eye of the World, as I heard it was a really good fantasy series. The problem is I find it kinda slow and I’m not enjoying it that much. In retrospect, starting with a huge series spanning dozens of books after not reading for a decade wasn’t such a great idea. So I wanted to ask for recommendations on books that are maybe a little faster paced and on the shorter side, to dip my toes back before moving on to the harder stuff. Any suggestion is appreciated.
