I love narrative non-fiction as well!
Norwegian author/journalist Åsne Seierstad is one of my favourites. *One of Us*, *Two Sisters* and the most recent *Afghaner* (“Afghans” in English, however I don’t know if it has been translated yet) are great. The first one is about Breivik, Utøya terrorist attacks and the victims, the second is about two sisters leaving to be “Isis wives” in Raqqah and the last is about different people in Afghanistan through the decades but mostly at the past 2 years since Taliban took over again. Her other books are great too, but not all are narrative non-fiction.
Also *Radium Girls* by Kate Moore, *Say Nothing* by Patrick Radden Keefe.
