I’m cancelling my Audible (again) as I much prefer reading rather than listening (though I do love some podcasts as they do not have the time commitment of a book).
General interests:
* Native American History (Empire of the Summer Moon, The Earth is Weeping, etc.)
* Explorative History (Empire of Ice and Stone, The Wager)
* Music (rock/rap, i.e., The Storyteller [Dave Grohl], Original Gangstas)
* Space (American Moonshot, The Space Race)
Favorite writers:
* Steven Rinella (already read all of his stuff)
* David Grann (I want to read Flowers)
* Erik Larson
* Dan Flores
* Buddy Levy
Of the three credits I had, I “bought”
* Coming to Terms with John F Kennedy
* A People’s History of the United States
I have “A Promised Land” and “Oath and Honor” in my list but not really wanting to pull the trigger. Would prefer to not have two political purchases.
I prefer novels as I can go back and reread a particular piece if need be. I don’t like audible’s as this seems to become slightly more annoying. So, preferably an easy read.

Have you checked out Tony Hillerman’s fiction about the Navajo reservation?
