I’m reading Tales of lonely trails by Zane Grey on project Gutenberg. It’s an account of hunting and packing trips in 1918ish Arizona and I’m loving it although it might offend many with modern sensibilities. Just wondering if any of his fiction is worth a read? Loved Lonesome Dove but western fiction is not a genre I’ve ever considered.

His writing is consistent and fairly florid. He’s worth a read if you don’t mind the western setting or even enjoy it. Some of his short stories still stick with me a couple of decades after I read them.
