The genre doesn’t matter, though presumably this will fall under Fantasy or Science Fiction novels.
I am looking for any books where the primary society (so not merely adjacent or secondary societies within the setting) has their Economy, Structure, etc built around Organic Technology, rather than Mechanical Technology. So, the less computers, machines, cars, etc and the more Biological Organisms, Pets, Biological Enhancements, etc the better.
Like, if Cyberpunk is focused around Cybernetically enhancing the body. Then what I am looking for is a setting (potentially) where people Biologically enhance themselves, perhapz out of Gene Splicing, or Cloning, or whatever.
Bonus Points if that society has no Mechanical Technology at all.
Also, just to clarify, having a ‘lack of Mechanical Technology’ isn’t my only goal for the novel, like any generic fantasy series could fulfill. It should have a major focus, even if only in background worldbuilding, around Organic Technology.
